Glossary of TermsCECommunaute Europeene: If a CE mark is placed on a device it is a declaration by the manufacturer or importer that the device complies with all the relevant European standards. EMCElectromagnetic Compatibility: The compatibility between a device and its electromagnetic environment. EmissionsElectromagnetic interference being produced by the device, either radiated through the air and conducted along power and signal lines and enclosures. EnvironmentThe location where the device will be used. ESDElectrostatic discharge: Equipment Under Test: The device, equipment or system being tested. A multiple of a fundamental frequency: Fundamental or 1st harmonic, times 2 = 2nd harmonic, times 3 = 3rd harmonic….
